Inspiration + Design

It’s hard to believe, but it has been a whole year since I first released the Summer Breeze Tank! And since it is the one year anniversary today, I thought it was time that this easy crochet top finally gets its very own space here on the blog! 🤗

This easy crochet top was not only my second pattern that I ever released into the world, but it was my very first garment pattern! Because of this, it will always have a special place in my heart!

I learned so much about myself as a crocheter and designer while creating this Tank. And I really had to push past all my fears and insecurities in order to reach for my goals.

The Perfect Summer Top

Designing this easy crochet top really helped define who I was as a crochet artist. I love simple styles that can be worn at any time, no matter what “today’s trend” might be. I love simple stitches that can be paired together to create beautiful textures. And I love clothes that can be effortlessly paired with anything in my closet to create a subtle, laid-back boho (ish) outfit!

And the Summer Breeze Tank checks all the boxes of what I look for in a design.

Sizes For Everyone

I love this easy crochet top so much, that I even made it in kids sizes! The Kids Summer Breeze Tank has sizes ranging from 2T-12!

The Yarn

For this Easy Crochet Top, I used Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton Yarn. It is 100% Mercerized Cotton, which means it is lightweight and airy, making it the perfect yarn for a summer top. The cotton fiber is easily machine washable and durable, which is an added bonus in my book.

Not to mention, 24/7 Cotton yarn comes in over 24 different colors including the color of the year; Succulent! All of the colors are so great that you can’t go wrong.
